Sample Snow Removal Contract
(Actual terms to be decided between Mid-America Land Management and Company.)
Term: November 1, 20XX - April 30, 20XX
General Specifications/Terms & Conditions:
Plowing/removal:
Removal shall commence upon an accumulation of two (2) or more inches of snow, drifting or icing conditions. If the forecast is more than 3" of snow, Contractor may remove snow more than one time.
Each snow is different and will be handled with the aid of the forecast at hand. All work will be done in a workman-like manner according to standard practices.
Contractor is not liable for any damages to any objects hidden in snow or ice. Any damages must be reported in writing within twenty-four (24) hours of damage occurrence.
Snow Removal:
Contractor will push/shovel loose snow off parking lot and sidewalks. Snow will be moved to the nearest area not considered walkway or parking lot. Contractor cannot remove ice but will apply ice melt for melting and traction. Snow and ice removal will continue until all areas have been cleared.
Equipment:
Contractor shall use, at is discretion, a combination of trucks, ATV's, loaders and hand labor to provide this service.
Ice Melt:
Ice melt prices are on a per occurrence basis. Contractor shall provide ice melt for parking lot and walks. Ice melt chemicals may be applied even if there is not 2' of snow. Chemicals may be applied on a pre-snow basis to help improve snow removal results,
if needed per forecast at hand. Contractor spreads ice melt on surfaces only to help control slippery conditions and shall not be held responsible for accidents that may occur if slippery conditions exist.
Contractor is not liable for damages to any property that may occur during the normal use equipment and chemicals nor does it guarantee the melting or removal of ice or snow. Contractor will manage every storm individually using the forecast at hand.
